We provide healthy and nourishing food. By providing food we are cutting back single used plastic which is important to us at The Learning Barn.

At The Learning Barn we believe good nutrition is important for health, well-being, growth, and development. We have a variety of food daily. The children are often involved growing the vegetables in our gardens. We have recently gained our Rito Healthy Heart award. This recognizes our commitment and achievement in founding a healthy nutritional and physical activity environment.

  • At least once a week we enjoy a vegetarian diet.

  • We use real ingredients.

  • We cater for vegetarian, dairy free, gluten free, and egg free options, and any allergies.

  • Morning tea and afternoon tea are served with seasonal vegetables and/or fruit.

  • Children learn to feed themselves, have patience, share, and enjoy this important social time together.

  • Children enjoy home baking with natural sweeteners such as maple syrup.
